The older daughter, with her hair in a ponytail, kisses the baby. The father, with short dark hair, kisses a smiling toddler boy on the cheek; the boy wears a short-sleeve shirt and shorts. From quick minis to slow sessions

I am here to serve what you are looking for, even if it is just “one good picture.” You may be surprised how many good photos we get—intentional or not. Sometimes we forget: Photography is an art…and so are you.

When was the last time you had photos done?

Time goes fast, and sometimes we don’t realize it until we measure that time while looking back at your family pictures and thinking “It feels like yesterday we took this.” That emotion stops us from updating our pictures year after year, because it truly does feel like yesterday.

It is recommended to do family photos at least once a year. This is not excessive—it is important to your legacy. While photos are a luxury, not an essential, it is essential to document your life—because it matters. When it is time to replace the photo in the frame, you may catch yourself saying “Wow, they have grown.” or “How did I change that much in the past year?”

Life was never meant to freeze, but somehow we do just that with the photographs we take.

What I offer: 30-minute minis or 60-minute full sessions

Besides time, what is the difference? Well, it also comes down to a few different things to factor in:

Attire

Do you have more than one outfit you’d like to wear for pictures? More than one outfit requires a full session

One Spot vs. Multiple Spots

I limit our location to only one (so we don’t spend time driving when we can be using that time to take pictures, unless there is a special condition). Minis usually allow for one, maybe two different spots to take photos at our location. Full sessions allow for multiple spots at our location to take pictures. More spots= More variety in your photos= More bang for your buck!

Littles

You know your children best—Will an hour be too much for them? Or, on the flip side, will your child need that extra time in the beginning to warm up to me or my camera? It comes down to them being comfortable. Just like you, their emotions will translate through these pictures too. Let’s make them feel good and have happy emotions for all of those beautiful results.

Amount of People

It is recommended to limit the amount of people in your mini session. If you have multiple picture requests during your mini with a large group of people, you may not receive everything you were expecting out of your pictures. To accomplish all combinations with large groups of people, I would recommend a full 60-minute session.
